Bugüne kadar yapılmış en gelişmiş uzay gemisi Atılgan’ın mürettebatının gençlik yıllarındaki ilk tanışma günlerinin inanılmaz öyküsünü anlatan “Star Trek” ile tüm zamanların en büyük macerasına hazır olun. Henüz çaylaklık günlerini yaşayan mürettebatımız, aksiyon, komedi ve kozmik tehlikelerle dolu bir yolculukta; insanoğlundan intikam alma misyonunu yüklenmiş şeytani güçleri durdurmanın çaresini bulmaya çalışacaklar.

Galaksinin kaderi birbirinden çok uzaklarda doğmuş iki sıkı rakibin elindedir. Bir tarafta Iowa’daki çiftlikte doğup büyümüş, serseri ruhlu, heyecan ve macera arayan genç James Tiberius Kirk (Chris Pine) vardır. Diğer tarafta ise Vulcan gezegeninde büyümüş olan ve yarı-insan özgeçmişi nedeniyle kendi toplumunca dışlandığını hisseden, Starfleet Akademi’ye Vulcan ırkından kabul edilen ilk öğrenci olan Spock (Zachary Quinto) yer alır.

Kirk ile Spock’un kişilikleri çok farklıdır. Kim olduklarını, bu dünyaya ne verebileceklerini bulmaya çalışırken Starfleet Akademi’deki eğitimlerde birbiriyle rekabet halinde iki öğrenci olup çıkarlar. İkisinin de tarzı çok farklıdır. Birisi tutkularıyla hareket ederken diğeri mantığın sesini dinler. Sürekli muhalefet halinde meydan okurcasına davranırken birbirlerinden hoşlanmazlar. Gelmiş geçmiş en gelişmiş uzay gemisi Atılgan için seçilen çok özel mürettebat arasında ikisi de yer alacaktır.

Mürettebatın başında deneyimli Kaptan Christopher Pike (Bruce Greenwood) vardır. Diğerleri ise, uzay gemisinin tıp subayı Leonard “Bones” McCoy (Karl Urban); ileride geminin başmühendisi olacak Montgomery “Scotty” Scott (Simon Pegg); iletişim subayı Uhura (Zoe Saldana); deneyimli dümenci Sulu (John Cho) ve 17 yaşındaki dahi çocuk Chekov’dur (Anton Yelchin). Atılgan’daki ilk yolculuğa çıkarken onları sonsuza kadar bağlayacak sadakat, dostluk ve cesaret gibi kavramlar sınavdan geçecektir.

Tüm bunların ortasında Kirk ile Spock, kaçınılmaz kaderleriyle yüz yüze kalırlar. Daha önce hiç gidilmemiş, hayal bile edilemeyen tehlikelerle dolu yolculukta mürettebatı yönetebilmek, ikisi arasında oluşacak sıradışı ama güçlü dostluğa bağlıdır.
