Aklı karışmış, korkmuş ve hala canlı halde olan Anna öldüğüne inanmaz; Deacon ise onun ‘öbür dünyaya’ intikal ettiğini düşünmektedir. Eliot onu ölülerle iletişim kurabildiğine ve kendisine bir tek onun yardımcı olabileceğine dair ikna eder. Cenaze evinde tıkılı kalan Anna’nın Eliot dışında şansı yoktur. En derin korkularıyla yüzleşip, kendi ölümünü kabullenmek durumundadır. Fakat Anna'nın yastaki erkek arkadaşı Paul (Long), Eliot’ın göründüğü gibi biri olduğuna dair süphelidir.
